1. Choose a tea

Iced or hot? Traditional or flavorful? A terrific first step in organizing your drinks is selecting the tea you will offer during your picnic. You may carry hot water in a thermos and make teas on the road with our convenient tea for two travel sets if you’d like to have hot tea during your picnic.

If you want to cool down with some iced tea, you can either cold brew a pitcher to take with you or brew some tea in a couple of urban tea tumblers for quick iced tea in a smaller serving size. A perfect way is even to bring sparkling wine to “spice” your iced tea; Prosecco and Blueberry Pomegranate iced tea work particularly well together, in our experience.

2. Include scones

Tea and scones go together like bread and butter, making them the ideal delicacy for a fun picnic in the open air. Honey and tea preserves are excellent scones toppings whether you buy or bake your own.

3. Include something tasty

Sweet pastries are a staple of any successful tea party. Shortbread biscuits are a fantastic, travel-friendly choice. Check out our fruit crisps with mandarin and blood orange flavors for a lighter snack.

4. Include something savory

For a tea party picnic, savory tea sandwiches like cream cheese and cucumber, tomato and cheddar, and smoked salmon are all excellent choices. Another delectable picnic food suggestion is charcuterie boards with cheese, cured meats, almonds, and spreads.

5. Include something fresh

The best way to take advantage of the wealth of the season and give your picnic spread a bit more life and the color is to use fresh fruits and veggies. Local food is always a good choice for anything from flavorful seasonal fruits to farm-fresh salads. You may also add some fresh fruit to your iced tea as a garnish!
